The Trump administration will distribute one-time $90 payments to eligible Medicare beneficiaries during October 2026.[3] More than 20 million Medicare Part B enrollees qualify for the rebate. Disbursements are scheduled to begin early this month.[5] Eligibility requires enrollment in Original Medicare Part B, United States residency, no Medicaid premium assistance, and no IRMAA high-income surcharge.[6] Two major insurers also released Medicare Advantage plan updates this week. Humana announced an expanded 2027 Medicare Advantage lineup that includes $0 in-network primary care and lab services.[2] SCAN Health Plan will launch co-branded Medicare Advantage plans with Walmart effective January 1. The plans will be available in 6 Texas counties and 3 Arizona counties.[1] Caroline Edwards stated that Medicare Advantage drug coverage plans follow Part D rules but are not standardized across insurers.[4]
